If you are arriving from Thailand, you will meet our team at 7:30 AM at the Chiang Khong immigration office (Thai border). We will assist you in crossing the border via shuttle bus and support your visa process for a smooth and hassle-free experience before boarding.
If you are already in Houayxay, our shuttle will pick you up directly from your hotel between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM and transfer you to the boat pier.
While cruising along the Mekong River, our experienced guide will provide an engaging introduction to Laos, including cultural insights, traditions, and useful travel tips. Guests will enjoy a delicious traditional Lao lunch served onboard while relaxing and taking in the breathtaking scenery of mountains, forests, and riverside villages.
During the journey, we will stop at local ethnic villages where you can experience authentic rural life, observe traditional crafts, and interact with local communities. Before reaching Pakbeng, we may visit small villages such as Ban Kang Lae, where your visit contributes to community support initiatives.
The boat will arrive in Pakbeng in the evening, where you will check in to your accommodation and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay.
On the second day, the cruise continues downstream with visits to the famous Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues. You will also explore local villages and witness traditional Lao whisky production.
The journey concludes in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage town, where you can continue exploring temples, waterfalls, and local culture.
